Data Safety & Security
MetaSphere is designed to keep your academic information on your device, under your control, without accounts, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated cloud storage.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Storage
Where your information is kept
Your profile, university setup, subjects, attendance marks, exams, tasks, study sessions, notes, and preferences are stored in MetaSphere's private application storage on your device. The current version does not upload those entries to MetaSphere, MAK Studio, or App Studio Dev servers and does not create a MetaSphere user account.
Protection
How local data is protected
- Android and iOS isolate MetaSphere's application storage from other ordinary apps.
- Your device passcode, biometric lock, device encryption, operating-system updates, and physical security provide important additional protection.
- MetaSphere does not transmit academic entries to a developer server, so there is no MetaSphere cloud database containing them.
- No storage method is completely secure. Keep your device locked, updated, and under your control.
Permissions
Device access and external links
MetaSphere's current product features do not use precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone or SMS records, health records, payment information, advertising identifiers, or an inventory of other installed apps. MetaSphere may ask the operating system to open a website only after you deliberately tap an external link.
The destination website, browser, email app, Google Play, Apple App Store, and device provider operate under their own privacy and security terms. MetaSphere does not control their systems.
Backups
Operating-system backups
Depending on your Android or iOS backup settings, your operating system or device provider may separately back up and restore app data. MetaSphere, MAK Studio, and App Studio Dev cannot access or control that provider-managed backup. Review, disable, or delete it through your device or account backup settings if required.
Collection and sharing
What the developer receives
The app does not send your academic entries to the developer and does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Consequently, MetaSphere does not sell, rent, or share those on-device entries.
If you voluntarily email support, Google (Gmail) processes the email address, message, attachments, and any details you include so the message can be delivered. We use it only for support, privacy or deletion requests, security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. Support correspondence is retained for up to 90 days after resolution, subject to the limited exceptions in our retention policy.
Your controls
Review, correct, and erase your data
- Edit or delete individual academic records in MetaSphere where the relevant screen provides that control.
- Use Settings > Reset and reconfigure > Start over to remove your profile and academic records from the local app state.
- Clear MetaSphere's storage in device settings or uninstall it to remove all locally stored app data and preferences.
- Follow the separate Data Deletion page to request deletion of support correspondence by email.
