1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the MetaSphere mobile application for Android and iOS and the MetaSphere website. MetaSphere is developed and operated by MAK Studio / App Studio Dev. In this policy, “MetaSphere,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the MetaSphere app and its developer.

2. Data the app handles

When you choose to enter it, the app stores the following data locally on your device so its features can work:

Profile and academic setup: name or display name, university, campus, batch, academic year, attendance threshold, subjects, and study goal.
Attendance: attendance marks, dates, session types, and optional notes.
Exams: exam titles, subjects, dates, times, venues, reminder choices, and optional notes.
Tasks and study activity: task details, due dates, priorities, study setups, study sessions, durations, topics, and optional notes.
Preferences: theme, interface mode, onboarding state, and notification preferences.

The current version does not send this academic data to MetaSphere or MAK Studio servers. We do not operate a user-account database for MetaSphere.

3. How data is used

On-device data is used only to provide the features you request, such as displaying your dashboard, calculating attendance status, organizing exams and tasks, timing study sessions, and remembering your settings. These operations take place on your device.

If you email us, we receive the email address, message content, attachments, and other information you voluntarily include. We use that information only to answer your inquiry, provide support, process a privacy or deletion request, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

4. Collection, tracking, and device access

MetaSphere does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, call or SMS data, photos, videos, audio recordings, financial information, health records, or an inventory of other apps. The app does not use your academic entries for advertising or profiling.

MetaSphere may open an external website when you deliberately tap a website link. The destination website and your browser or device provider may process data under their own privacy policies.

5. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent, or share your on-device academic data with third parties because we do not receive it. We do not share support correspondence except with Google (Gmail), which provides our email service; when required by law; to protect users or our rights; or with your direction. Google may process limited email information to provide its service under its own privacy and security terms.

6. Security

Your academic data is stored in the app's private storage area on your device using the operating system's application storage. Your device passcode, encryption, operating-system updates, and physical security help protect it. No method of storage is completely secure, so you should keep your device protected and up to date.

Depending on your Android or iOS backup settings, your operating system or device provider may separately back up and later restore app data. MetaSphere and MAK Studio cannot access or control those backups. You can manage them in your device or account backup settings.

7. Data retention

On-device data: retained on your device with no automatic expiration, until you delete an item, reset MetaSphere, clear its storage, or uninstall it. We cannot access or retain this data on a developer server.
Device backups: may be retained by your operating-system or backup provider according to your backup settings and that provider's policy.
Support and privacy emails: retained for up to 90 days after the request is resolved, then deleted, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, or enforce an agreement.

8. Data deletion

MetaSphere does not create user accounts and does not keep your academic data on our servers, so there is no remote MetaSphere account or server record to delete. You remain in control of the data on your device.

Delete academic data in the app: open MetaSphere, go to Settings, choose Reset and reconfigure, then confirm Start over. This removes your profile, academic setup, attendance, exams, tasks, and study logs from the local app state.
Delete all local app data: use your device settings to clear MetaSphere's storage, or uninstall MetaSphere. This also removes local preferences. Menu names vary by device.
Delete a device backup: if your device provider has backed up MetaSphere, manage or delete that backup from your device or account backup settings.
Delete support correspondence: email metasphereofficial@gmail.com with the subject “MetaSphere Data Deletion Request” and identify the email address used to contact us. We will acknowledge the request within 7 days and complete it within 30 days, subject to the limited legal and security exceptions described above.

9. Children's privacy

MetaSphere is intended for medical students and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information on a developer server. If you believe a child sent us personal information by email, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when MetaSphere's features or legal obligations change. If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or new data handling, we will revise this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure before those practices apply. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
